RichardAvedon.com

I had to blog about this man. His portrait work, in my opinion, is the best in the busines. From medium format images of some of the most famous and influential people on Earth, to high end fashion photography, Avedon has set the bar way high. Influential indeed.

These guys make insane photographs. Lightwriting to the maximum. They use lights to make graffiti in the air. They are also shooting images for coca cola advertisements. There are images on this flickr site that link to a myspacetv site, where they have used the images to make a movie. Check it out.

Aimee's work can be seen in the advertising images of american apparel as well as high fashion ads. Her work is edgy and has a unique feel. She captures images bursting with emotion.

Chris lives in Carlsbad and shoots a lot of lifestyle shots for ad campaigns such as Spy, Hurley, Roxy and many more in the Surf Industry. I dig his work. It is clean and fresh. Looking at his work makes me want to travel and shoot more!
He also has a blog, chrisstraley.blogspot.com

JimmyFontaine.com

Jimmy shoots killer photos. He first started shooting in high school for the journalism program. Getting his photos published in the school paper created an addiction that has turned into a career. His style of shooting including lifestyle portraiture is very influential for my own work, as well as the fact that he too is from the little town of Fallbrook.

The Collection Art Show Ivy San Diego

The Collection is at it again. The show was Friday 4.11.08 and consisted of photography, paintings and visual art. I was lucky enough to be invited to shoot photos for the event and had a blast while doing it. Tons of people showed up, and with a hosted bar by 10cane Rum from 8 till 9 the party was rolling early.

The Collection

The Collection Art Show at Basic in downtown San Diego on March 18th was an intricate experience of art, photography, pizza, pool, beer and most importantly, local artists and FRIENDS. Some of our very own cougars from CSUSM were present and it was an overall good time.
